In 1990, Keith & Gloria Cowell founded a dry cleaning business in New Bern, NC with a satellite location in Bayboro, NC. Their ambition was to provide the best laundry service anywhere. Today, Cowell’s Cleaners operates ten stores in the Craven, Pamlico and Carteret Counties. To this day, the same high standards, the pursuit of excellence and customer satisfaction continue with Cowell’s Cleaners being voted the number one choice of cleaners for over twenty years. The family owned business has expanded locations and family involvement over the years with three of their five children joining the company. Gloria Cowell has served in several positions on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Association of Cleaners including President from 2006 – 2008.
