Flag Day is celebrated to commemorate the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress. The United States Army also celebrates the US Army birthdays on this date.
Cowells is proud to press all American flags, at no charge, for deceased Veterans to be used to drape their casket.
Memorial Day is an American holiday, observed on the last Monday of May,
honoring the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.
Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following
the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971.
At Cowell's Cleaners we consider it an honor to press all US Flags for the
caskets of deceased Veterans at no charge. Their service is greatly
appreciated.
The Saturday Sessions in Bear Plaza are rotating music and art weekends
located in the heart of downtown New Bern. Saturday Sessions run from
1pm-5pm every Saturday until Mumfest weekend in October.
Special Saturday Sessions children’s programming is available as well.

Trayner, born April 5.
