Girl Scouts Coat Drive

Cowell’s Cleaners is pleased to partner with the Girl Scouts of Craven, Pamlico & Carteret Counties on their Coat Drive . The Girl Scouts are asking everyone to donate new and gently-used coats, gloves, scarves and hats for this year’s drive.

Through December 16th these items may be dropped off at the following Cowell’s Cleaners locations;

  • in New Bern, 1913 Glenburnie Road and 422 Pollock Street
  • in James City, 428 E. Grantham
  • in Pamlico County, 13708 Hwy 55 East
  • in Havelock, 109 Greenfield Heights
  • in Newport, 7109 Highway 70 East

Operation Ball Gown 2017 – Thank you!

THANK YOU so much to everyone who donated gowns to Operation Ball Gown 2017 and ExtravaGOWNza. Between Friday evening at the Whistle Stop and Sunday at Cowell’s Cleaners at the PX, 160 spouses and active duty service members were provided a free formal gown. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Operation Ball Gown on Sunday, October 1, 2017

Cowell's Cleaners is pleased to host Operation Ball Gown on Sunday, October 1, from 10 to 1 at their location at the PX on MCAS Cherry Point. Spouses and active duty service members are invited to choose one free formal gown while supplies last. Come early for best selection.

Anyone wishing to donate dresses for this event can drop them by any Cowell's Cleaners location before September 29.
