The 45th Annual New Bern Area CROP Hunger Walk will be on Sunday, September 28th at Union Point Park in New Bern. This year’s event will raise funds to address the nutritional and developmental needs of our neighbors in New Bern and around the globe. Faith Connection is the host partner for the New Bern Area CROP Hunger Walk, an outreach of Church World Service (CWS). The holiday tradition continues at Tryon Palace with Candlelight 2024. Enjoy an evening full of festivities that the whole family will enjoy including black powder fireworks. This year's dates are December 14 & 21.

Empty Bowls is a wonderful community event that combines locally handcrafted bowls with a hearty lunch prepared by local restaurants and church groups. Proceeds benefit Religious Community Services and the Craven Arts Council which helps nurture the creative process and feed hungry people in Craven, Jones & Pamlico Counties.
